ELENA ARSENCHUK
DIRECTOR
Elena Arsenchuk is an emerging Toronto-based filmmaker and a student at Humber College. Being in her second year of the Film and Television Production Program, she has produced a short documentary, directed two short films, and written several screenplays. She is interested in telling stories that are both engaging and meaningful, and is particularly passionate about Directing and Writing. She hopes to explore and grow in these and other areas of filmmaking further while working on more projects.
DENISE PEDA
WRITER
Denise Peda is an aspiring director/writer in her second year of study in the Film and Television Production program at Humber College. As the writer for the short film Out of the Rain, she was passionate about creating a tense yet moving story that focused on an unlikely connection between strangers. In fall of 2022 she directed the short music documentary This Beat Goes On, and she was awarded the 2022 NBCUniversal NextGen Scholarship for her experimental short film Wonder. Upon graduation, she aspires to continue writing and directing narrative films with a strong emotional core.

ALISON RUP
PRODUCER & POST PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Alison Rup is a young and ambitious aspiring producer and director. At only 20 years old she has already gained valuable skills as the picture and sound editor to a short documentary called Sensational Recipe and as the Producer to Out of the Rain, a short Drama film. With a drive to explore the world and tell diverse stories, Alison dreams of taking her career as a producer and director to new heights, traveling the globe to bring unique and captivating stories to audiences far and wide. Now, Alison is focused on expanding her experience in all areas of film production, from pre-production to post, with the ultimate goal of becoming a sought-after producer and director in the industry.

CINEMATOGRAPHER
Andrew Hodgett is a 23-year-old filmmaker and aspiring cinematographer. As a child, he would spend countless hours honing his craft in camera work and composition. Sculpting himself as Director of Photography, Andrew possesses credits through Le Select, a short documentary that won best cinematography at The Toronto Short Film Festival and Out of the Rain, a short film under post-production. Continuing to use his creative vision, Andrew aspires to increase his existing, abundant collection of photographs and films.

With a passion for storytelling and the desire to excel in the film industry, Cole Strongman-Borg is focused on developing his skills as a director and producer. Throughout his time as a film student, Cole has gained experience on numerous Humber student productions, including his work as First Assistant Director on Out of the Rain,. Cole's ability to distinguish problems and solve them has enabled him to emerge as a leader in his field; hoping his experiences lead him to a bright future in filmmaking.

A few years ago, Geneviève Roy Griffin never dreamt she’d pursue filmmaking professionally, despite making many home movies with her friends. From the exposure. experienced as a film student, Geneviève aspires to specialize either in post-production, cinematography or music composition. With appreciation towards a vast variety of artistic expressions, she hopes to build her repertoire in all artistic facets from her connections developed in the program.

CAMERA OPERATOR
Eric is a talented camera operator with a unique background as an electrician's apprentice for three years. He brings technical expertise to his work behind the camera, which allows him to capture stunning footage with precision and attention to detail. Eric's dedication to his craft has been recognized through his award for cinematography on the short documentary, "Le Select." Despite his technical expertise, Eric's true passion lies in cinematography. He is a motivated and passionate individual who is always striving to improve his skills and push the boundaries of what is possible with a camera. His creative vision and ability to capture emotion on film have made him a sought-after professional in the industry. Eric's drive and commitment to his craft are truly impressive, and he continues to inspire others with his work behind the camera. Whether he is working on a small independent project or a major Hollywood production, Eric approaches every job with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication. He is a true asset to the world of cinematography, and his talent and passion are sure to take him far in his career.

SEREJAH HAYDEN-MOSCOVITCH
SOUND RECORDIST
Seréjah Hayden-Moscovitch developed a great understanding and respect for the role of a Sound Recordist. Through the experience of working on a couple short films, Seréjah obtained a keen interest in her role as a Sound Recordist and plans to pursue this as a future career.
DAVID DANG
ART DIRECTOR
David Dang had yearned to be a part of the filmmaking world since he began volunteering at local theater programs for young people at the age of fifteen. He’s had a few minor roles and a couple of small projects, but he never had the chance to work on something major until he enrolled in Humber College Film and Television Production Program. He’s been the picture editor for the short documentary Devout Following and recently took up the role of Art Director for Out of The Rain. Additionally, he’s directed a sci-fi short and shot an experimental short at an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Hamilton. These experiences have allowed David to hone his skills as a filmmaker and given him a good grasp on what it would be like to work in the industry.

SOFIA PEREZ
1ST ASSISTANT CAMERA OPERATOR
Sofia Perez worked on Out of the Rain as a 1st AC. This was her first time working alongside the camera team, then her past credits. Just this past semester, Sofia had the opportunity to be a producer on a Humber short documentary called “Fostering Connection.” Producing has made her gain skills in working with a small team, keeping an eye for detail and maintaining communication. She transferred her skills to the camera department, where she became a leader in keeping track of her 2nd AC and Camera operator. She worked closely with the Canon C700 during practice light tests and camera tests. while on set she even had the opportunity to gain experience in using a dolly and easy rig.

Colin Duff is a hardworking Script Writer, Cinematographer, and Editor based in Toronto, Ontario and the GTA. After spending four years attending the Humber College Photography and Media Communications programs, Colin decided to pursue a career in filmmaking. Storytelling has been a passion of his since childhood and now he’s bringing his visions to light through film. He is driven and hardworking, whether it’s his project or someone else’s. Upon completion of Humber’s Film and Television program, Colin plans to pursue editing and script writing, and when he gains the necessary experience, direct his own films.

Jackson Adams is an ambitious filmmaker who takes pride in his meticulous, but careful dedication to his craft. Aspiring to become a Director/Director of Photography, Jackson is always finding ways to improve his leadership qualities and consistently takes initiative to develop his skills with the goal in mind to excel past the industry-standard. Jackson’s professionalism and companionship allows him to strive independently or with a crew.

Kylie Edwards is an aspiring filmmaker proficient in graphic design and picture editing. Currently attending Humber College working to explore a career in the film industry. In her previous education, she studied and received awards for Communications Technology and Dramatic Arts. Her interest in production began when she worked as a camera operator and co-directed a music video for a Toronto musician. She most recently directed a short documentary film about an artist. In the future, she plans to apply her skill sets to produce films in an array of genres, and also be involved in picture editing, and art directing.

Oleksii Kucherchuk is an artist who began his journey studying acting in Ukraine during his teenage years. However, he quickly discovered that his true calling lay in the world of filmmaking, where he could use his creative vision to bring stories to life on screen. Drawing on his background in theater, Oleksii has a rare ability to capture the essence of a scene and make it come alive in his work as a behind-the-scenes photographer. After moving to Canada, as his passion for filmmaking grew, Oleksii's skills in video editing also flourished. His talent for storytelling shines through in every project he undertakes, drawing viewers into the heart of the action and leaving them wanting more.

CASTING DIRECTOR
Mateus Terry is an up and coming filmmaker from Brampton, Ontario. Since he was a boy, Mateus always had a passion for filmmaking and aspires to be a director/writer. Mateus had served as the Director of Photography for the short documentary Devout Following, as well as the Casting Director for the short film Out of the Rain. Mateus has dreams of being an innovator in the film industry and plans to take the industry to places it has never been before and bring captivating and emotional stories for the whole world to see.
